Here's a cuddly little koala munching on leaves while contemplating her next nap. It was mostly done with acrylics, but long after it was finished and given away, I decided to waste-I-mean-spend several hours adding in some more foliage in Procreate.
This portrait of Ekenäs Slott was created with watercolor, gouache, and procreate.
This toilet paper roll kitty artiste was inspired by an instagram #dtiys started by @sarahlisahleb. The wee cat in the corner is what she looks like IRL, painted loosely with gouache, and the rest was done using Procreate.
This is from a book I’m working on about a cranky teddy bear who’s trying to avoid hugs. Made in Procreate
This pirate doggy was made with watercolor and Procreate. She's presently somewhere between the Göta Canal in Sweden and the Philippines.

I can both hope and imagine that Edward Lear would be amused with a toilet paper roll interpretation of his wonderful poem, The Owl and the Pussycat. These two were my very first tp roll creatures, and this scene was my first foray into combining digital photos and illustrated backgrounds. Little did I know the joy that would follow this spontaneous trip into whimsy.
Storks flying in the night mixed with umbrella pines from Lebanon. Someday I'd like to see these fascinating trees in person. This started as a cooperative project at Sörängen Folkhögskola where we (in the picture book program) got to illustrate stories told by newly arrived immigrants learning Swedish. Pictured here is Miriam arriving ahead of schedule in the middle of the night.
Here's a recycled bunny being recycled into a bunny witch, which was then recycled into the Easter Bunny witch. All thanks to the adorable #dtiys on instagram created by @onze.illustration :) JFTR, the owl in this illustration was my 3rd toilet paper roll beastie.
Kjettil and his puppety pals performing a skit at a birthday party. Graphite and Procreate.
Ebba decided to surprise her bunny pal with some carrot cake cupcakes, and I can only wish she had baked some for me too. Made with graphite and Procreate.
Happy Easter greetings from a Swedish Easter Witch, or at least my tp bunny version of one. She's been given the requisite black cat, broom, and tea kettle for her annual trip to the witch's gathering on Blå Jungfru Island in the Baltic Sea. Right before Easter, real children here dress up as witches and knock on neighborhood doors to hopefully exchange their handmade drawings for candy and cookies.
This fox sculpture is ready for an adventure after a long Swedish winter. The fox was made out of cardboard and newspaper, and the background was made in procreate, and actually recycled from an earlier fox project.
